The event, which will be held at Virginia Tech’s stadium, will feature top coaches and players from across the country.
“Mastermind games are really exciting because they’re all about sharing, sharing what you learn, sharing with each other, playing a game together,” said Virginia Tech Women’s Soccer coach Stephanie Burden.
“It’s a chance to play a game, share what you’ve learned, to be able to get back into coaching and get back to being on the field together.”
We really believe that the Mastermind games, they’re just a fantastic way for our young people to learn and get to the next level.
“The tournament will take place in September and will feature teams from all over the world.”
The goal of this tournament is to give young people the opportunity to get to know one another, to connect and work on what they want to do, to get in shape and get into a game and share the same passion,” said coach Stephanie Brown.”
To be able, as a young woman, to go and play for a team that’s based in Richmond is really special.
“Awards will be handed out to the best teams from around the world, as well as a $20,000 cash prize for the best team.”
When we think about the future, we look to our young women as the next generation of women to take the next step in their careers,” said Burden.”
To be on the team that gets to represent the university, to represent Virginia Tech and play at home is a huge honor and we really look forward to it.
“Virginia Tech will be the first university in the world to host the tournament, which was launched last year.”
The Mastermindgames is a great way for young people in the Virginia Tech community to share what they’ve learned and play a sport together.”
